How to import customer details from a client submission file

Open the client submission file

Open the client submission file
  1. Click the Client Files tab
  2. Select the file from which you want to import customer details
  3. Double click on that file

If the client has not been configured, the mapping screen will open straight away and you can skip the following step

If the client has already been configured, the submission items window will open

4.   Hit the Remap button

5.    Select the Customer Details tab

6.    The system will try to automatically match customer details

7.    The match is against the original file shown top right

8.    The results of the match are shown on the bottom right

9.    The BACS columns are greyed out

10.   To include a column header, drag it into the desired position

When finished, hit OK and you will be taken to the Submission Items screen. (Note the customer details are not yet saved to the database)

Note that this screen only shows the BACS details but the customer details associated with each row are known to the system

11. Select the rows in the file you want to Save

12. Hit Save

The details for all customers in the file will be read in and

  • existing customers will have their details updated
  • new customers will be entered into the system
