Leaseholder Setup

Leaseholders can have the status of both a company and a contact. A leaseholder behaves as a company in a case where a landlord invoices a tenant. A leaseholder behaves as a contact in a case where the land owner invoices the landlord.

Add a Leaseholder as a Company

LogiPro offers several types of companies.

To add a new Leaseholder company:

Click Search > New Company. The Company window displays.

Company Window

1. From the drop down list in the General tab, select Leaseholder.

2. From the Company tab, enter the Current Name. Note: The OK button becomes active once the Current Name field is populated.

Note: All red fields are mandatory.

3. Enter all other relevant data.

Note: The Management Charge is set to 1.5% by default but can be changed.

Note: If the company is VAT registered, the following steps are required.

4. Select the Accounting tab.

5. Enter the Registered Number and select any other relevant data. Note: All peach coloured fields are required.

6. Click OK to save the company. Note: You have the option to add a property to the company at this time or can do so at a later point.

Add a Leaseholder as a Contact

To add a new Leaseholder contact:

Click Search > New Contact > New Leaseholder. The Leaseholder window displays.

1. From the Company tab, enter the Current Name. Note: The OK button becomes active once the Current Name field is populated.

2. Enter all other relevant data.

Note: If the company is VAT registered, the following steps are required.

3. Select the Accounts tab.

4. Enter the Registered Number and select any other relevant data. Note: All peach coloured fields are required.

5. If relevant, set the Default Purchase Nominal Account and the Default Sales Nominal Account.

Note: You can combine existing nominals by clicking Merge Nominals.... For instructions on merging nominal accounts, click here.

6. Click OK to save the contact.
