Configure Your Retention Policy
This application enables you to be GDPR compliant with a customer's Right to Be Forgotten requests by ensuring that all clienta with all statuses in status X since Y days are hard deleted from LogiClaim.
Note: The Retention Policy app can be included with your regular LogiClaim upgrade if configured in your current download tool. The Retention Policy app is also available for download from Logican\ApplicationLIVE\RetentionTool\RetentionTool.
Edit the JSON Config File
Navigate to the \Logican\ApplicationLIVE\RetentionTool\RetentionTool folder.
Open config.json.
checkInterval is the interval in which to check the retention policy settings and is configured using the Windows Task Scheduler.
Note: The eventual aim is to have this run as a service; however, it is currently an executable that is either triggered manually or from task scheduler.
claimStatus is the status to check for and the number is the claim status ID stored in dbo.Statuses.
minutes, hours and days are the defined amount of time that should pass from the time that the claim status last changed to be relevant for permenant deletion.
