Transfer a Management Fee when a Sales Invoice is Paid
This feature enables you to collect a management percentage fee upon receipt of payment for a sales invoice raised for the landlord.
Configuration
Click Admin > General Settings > Invoices tab.
Select Generate Management Fee As: Client Account Transfer.
Select a Managing Agent Company.
Select a Managing Fee Client Account.
Enter a Standard Management Percentage.
Click OK.
From the main Invoices screen or from a company/contact/property Invoices tab, click New Sales Invoice to create a sales invoice.
Note: The From Company must have a Management Charge set in the Company > General > Company tab. Click here for instructions on adjusting this field.
Enter the invoice details ensuring that Generate Management Invoice is ticked.
Note: The Bank Account must be a Client Account.
Click Proforma Invoice or VAT receipt.
When the sales invoice is paid, a Client Account To Client Account Transfer account transfer occurs for the management fee.
To view the transaction, from the Banking tab, select the relevant client account and double-click the account or click Edit Bank Account to open the bank details window.
Note: If Generate Management Invoice is ticked on the sales invoice, yet the Management Charge in the Company > General > Company tab is set to 0, you can still generate the client account transfer by changing the 0 to a higher amount and clicking OK. You are then prompted if you want to generate the transfers for existing invoices.
