 Transfer Investor Stake

The below article describes additional functionality of the Transfer Investor Stake function.

A new option has been added to Admin > General Settings Investors > "Can Edit Investor Stake Percentage". (Figure 1)

If this is ticked it allows the user to adjust the stake amount inline in the Main Investor and Profit Share tabs of a Partnership's Investor section. To do this, single click in the cell that you want to change and enter the new figure. If the user attempts to save a value that will result in a total over 100% for all investors, the changes will not be saved. (Figure 2)

Deleting a Transfer

  1.  Go to the Stake Transfers tab of a  Partnership and highlight the Transfer that you want to delete. This activates the Delete Transfer button.
  2. Deleting a Transfer, reverses the transfer, the stake being returned to its original owner. If the investor whose transfer is going to be deleted no longer has a sufficient stake to reverse the transfer, a warning message will be displayed "You cannot currently delete this transfer as the <Investor Name>  does not have a large enough stake." In this case no changes will be saved.
  3. Ticking Show Deleted Transfers displays the history of any previously deleted transfers
  4. Information displayed in the Stake Transfers includes; the date, Old Investor, New Investor, Bank Account (if relevant), Type of stake - either Main Investor or Profit Share. Finally there is an indication if a transfer has been deleted.

Investor Stakes and Stake Transfer Logs can also be viewed on the Investors individual window.

Open the Investor and click the Partnerships tab. This has 2 sub-tabs; Investor Stake and Stake Transfer Log. Transfers can be deleted from the Stake Transfer Log tab, but Stake transfers must be carried out from the main Partnership window.

The effect of Investor's multiple bank accounts.

LogiPro has built-in protections to ensure that Investors with multiple bank accounts keep their investments linked to only one account.

When carrying out a transfer, the user is asked which of the Investor's bank accounts (if they have more than one) to link the stake to. If there is a pre-existing investment linked to an account and the user tries to use a different bank account a warning is presented.

Clicking Yes will change the total investor stake (i.e. the original stake and the transferred percentage) to the bank account selected.

Clicking No will cancel the transfer and no changes will take place.

perhaps need to add in the script that can be run to get a report of all the transfers
