Create Sales and Purchase Credit Notes
LogiPro provides the option to manually create both sales and purchase credit notes. For instructions on creating invoices, click here.
Manually Create Credit Notes from the Main Invoice Window
Invoices can either be created from the main Invoice window or from an Invoice tab.
To create an invoice from the main Invoice window:
1. From the left menu, click Invoices. The invoice window displays.
2. Select Sales Credit Note from the drop down list and click New Sales Credit Note. The Sales Credit Note window displays.

3. From the drop down list, select the Credit Note type.

Note: All peach coloured fields and fields with red labels are mandatory.
4. Click the From Company and select the company providing the credit note and click OK.
5. Click the To Company and select the credit note recipient and click OK.
Note: If there are any outstanding sales invoices, those invoices will display in the Outstanding Invoices section.
6. Use the drop down list to choose the account to be associated with the credit note.
7. Select the Days Grace.
8. If relevant, from the Details section, select the Property and/or Unit.
9. If you want to change the default nominal account, click Account to select a different account.
10. Enter a Narrative.
11. Enter the Net amount. The Credit Note button is enabled.
12. A payment can be authorised at this time by ticking the Authorise Payment checkbox.
13. Click Credit Note to raise the credit note. The Credit Note window closes.
14. Once the credit note is generated, you can click Change Nominal to edit the nominal account.
15. Click Investors Distribution to distribute the credit amongst the various investors.
16. Click Linked Invoice to view the invoice the credit note is linked to.
17. To enable changes to the credit note, click Redo or Undo to delete the credit note.
Purchase Credit Note
Note: All peach coloured fields and fields with red labels are mandatory.
4. Click the To Company and select the sales credit recipient and click OK.
5. Click the From Company and select the company crediting the invoice and click OK.
6. Select the Days Grace.
7. Select the date. - Note: This is a mandatory field.
8. If relevant. from the Details section, select the Property and/or Unit.
9. If you want to change the default nominal account, click Account to select a different account.
10. Enter a Narrative.
11. Enter the Net amount. The Credit Note button is enabled.
12. A payment can be authorised at this time by ticking the Authorise Payment checkbox.
13. Click Credit Note to raise the credit note. The Credit Note window closes.
14. Once the credit note is generated, you can click Change Nominal to edit the nominal account.
15. Click Investors Distribution to distribute the credit amongst the various investors.
16. Click Link To Invoice to apply the credit note to an outstanding invoice.
17. Click Link Scanned Invoice to link a scanned invoice to the credit note.
18. To enable changes to the credit note, click Redo or Undo to delete the credit note.
19. If you are redoing the credit note, click Credit Note to issue the credit note with the changes.
