How to bulk update claim statuses

There are 2 methods for doing this, one from within the program and one from within the database. When using the program this can only be done on claims where known actions have been run/scheduled for them. In order to change one entire status' claims, the user should run a query in SQL for this. it is advised you contact Logican support for advice on this.

Open the Action library

1: Click Admin from the menu.

2: Select Action Library from the drop-down menu - the Action Library window will open.

1: Click New Action - the Action window will open.

Set the status to update to

1: Select the General tab.

2: Select Selected Claim from the Update Claim drop-down list.

3: Select the status the claims are required to be re-set to.

4: Check this box if the update should run automaticaly. Make sure auto-run is enabled, click here for instruction.

5: Click OK to save and close the action window.

Open the Claim with Action types report

1: Click General from the menu.

2: Select Reports --> Claims With Action Type Report - the Claims With Action Type Report will open.

Schedule the status change

1: Find the Claims required by filtering the actions & date run on them.

2: Click Display in order to verify that these are the correct claims.

3: Click Schedule Action - the Schedule Actions In Bulk window will open.

Select the Change status action

1: Click ... and select from the pop out list, the action created earlier. If required set the date on which to make the change and to whom they should be scheduled to.

2: Click Schedule - the Action above will now appear in the selected User's todo list.

NOTE:  The status change can be run manually as below, or they will auto-run if this was enabled in the action set-up, above.

1: Tick the Allow Run All check-box.

2: Filter to the action and the date chosen in the step above.

3: Filter to the User, chosen in the step above.

4: All the claims waiting for the status change are displayed.

5: Click Run All - be aware that for running this for many claims may take a while.
